Happy birthday lil Princess

My lil Princess share the same birthday as her daddy. I ordered mickey cupcakes for her school birthday celebration.Frankly, the design of the cupcakes not as nice as hubb's. but the size of the cupcakes is just nice for the little hand. Lil Princess seems a bit blur, as when we greated her Happy Birthday in the morning, she was like "huh? what are you talking?" and she kept me asking whether i am telling her today is her keke's birthday, LOL!

I passed the cupcakes to the school teacher and they had the birthday celebration during their morning tea brake.Hope lil princess enjoy the session with her friends. Happy birthday, lil Princess,

Happy Birthday to Hubb/Daddy

Wow, today is another important day in our family after this. Today is hubb and lil princess's birthday.As usual, i ordered cupcakes for the kid to bring to school for the birthday celebration. And, for this year, i ordered cup cakes for hubb too. The cup cakes being delivered to our house on the night before the birthday, and hubb is the one open the door for the cupcake lady. I was so worry that hubb will notice the cupcakes. However, the cupcake lady is smart enough and she quickly pass me the cupcakes and also, she put the cupcakes inside a plastic bag, not in cake box. So...hubb doesn't know that we have cupcakes for him until the actual day...

I wake up earlier than usual, get myself prepared, then while hubb taking his bath, i wake up both kids and change them. After that, i request Kelvin to bring daddy down to the living hall, but my little darling boy, he went and tell daddy that we have cupcakes for him, **slapped forehead**

Since hubb love golfing and reading, so i request the cupcake lady to have golf and book on the cupcake. Kelvin was so excited seeing the different design on the cupcakes and he even request to have a bite on the cupcake. And the next thing that excited the kids are candle blowing, LOL!

It's so hard to get a decent family pics. Both kids not realyl corporate with us, LOL!Happy Birthday Bb/Daddy ..
With each year we'll love you more. Remember that your best years are still ahead of you and we'll be there for every up down and in between.

Since my boy goes crazy with ultraman, so again, i got him another ultraman cake for his school's birthday celebration. Due to i am giving short lead time to the baker, so the best she can get me is this ultraman icing.

2KCs birthday Party

It's Party Time! Time flies, time for my 2KCs birthday party again!
Same as last yr, we combined the 2 kids birthday party since both KCs born in month of Oct. The only different is, for this yr, We are having the party in restaurant instead of having it at home.

On the day, we dropped Kaitlyn to my parents house and let her take a short nap so that she won't be cranky during the party, then 3 of us (me, hubb and Kelvin) went to the restaurant earlier to do some minor decoration for the party. The birthday boy so excited with the whole thing. He is running here and there helping us with the decoration work. At first, i thought we will take very long time to get the balloons tied to the chairs, but thank GOD, the helpful restaurant waiter volunteer to help me. Phew...!
Here's the party bag that we prepared for all kids. Girl will get the princess folder whereas boy will get the Ben10 folder. Inside, there's some stickers, a small memo pad, pencil and eraser.
Kelvin get bored after the decoration work and he kept ask us what is the time and why all his friends not there yet. My parents brought Kaitlyn to the restaurant around 12 noon and this little girl seems still in sleeping mode, she wasn't aware that it's her party too, LOL! Most of our guests arrived around 1230pm, and now i can see some smile on my little boy's face. We started with the food and seeing lots of busy parents, taking food for the kid, feeding the feed at the same time feeding themselves, and most of the time, kids are more interested in playing and running around, rather than sit and eat. Well, i guess this is normal, when kids see each others, they will start to play among themselves. I am so happy to see all kids able to play so well among themselves as some of the kids not knowing each others before the party.

Finally, it's cake cutting time and we get all the kid gathered together. Oops...i forgot to take the pic of their cakes. Kelvin has ultraman birthday cake meanwhile Kaitlyn has a teddy bear jelly cake. We sang the English and mandarin version's Happy Birthday Song. Thanks to Ern as she lead the mandarin version's Happy Birthday song.

After cake eating, the kids start to run around again and i gave a task to hubb, ask him to get all the kids together and take their pics. It's not an easy task though....we only manage to get some of the kids to stand "properly" for us to snap pics.
The party end around 2:30pm as most of the kids are exhausted. Hope everyone enjoy the party. Happy birthday to my 2 dearest kids :)

Lantern Party

Before this, everytime when i see kids performing on the stage, i always drool wish that my kids will have chance to perform on the stage.

2 weeks ago when i picked up my girl, the supervisor told me that she would like to let Kaitlyn walk on the stage with traditional costume on their school's lantern party. Immediately i told her, "of course, good idea!" I am so happy that my little girl also get to walk on the stage. But, on the other hand, i start to worry that she may cry when she see so many pairs of eyes looking at her when she's on the stage. As for Kelvin, the teacher already told me that she wants him to get on the stage with his Malay costume, and since Kelvin had experience on the stage before, so i don't see any issue to let him go on stage again.

We reached at the club house by 7pm as all the kids that perform on that night need to be there early for make up. Both kids refuse to let teacher to decorate make up for them. And after few attempts of persuasion,they finally let the teacher to put on make up for them. As Both my kids easily sweat, they are last kid to get make up. Even after make up, they also can't sit still, kept running around at the club house. I chase them until i give up.As usual, party stay at 8pm with all the guests start with pot luck food from parents. the And the first event is singing performance by kids from age of 4 to 6. The title of song is 月亮圆. The next event is the most exciting event, which is traditional costume show. The event start with Kaitlyn's class, which is 2 yrs old. Each class will send 6 representative (3 pairs) who will be in Chinese, Malay and Indian costume. I am so excited and happy seeing my little walking on the stage without fear.After this fashion show, it's dance from age of 4, 5, and 6 respectively. It's really fun seeing the kids performing on the stage, they all look so cute!

The lantern party suppose to end with lantern parade, however, before all of us can walk around at the field, here come the drizzle. However, some parents still proceed with the parade with umbrella, but not me. It's too handy for me to hold umbrella and the kid at the same time, so we just spend some time letting the kids continue to dance jump and run on the stage, LOL!

Mummy's birthday

Today is my mummy's birthday....daddy bought her 2 little cakes, one is Hello Kitty and one is ultraman. Actually, the miniature hello kitty is for my mei mei, Kaitlyn, and the ultraman is for me!! yeah!! And what will mummy get? Of course, the cake!!!

When we got home, daddy asked mummy to stay in the car with mei mei meanwhile i get to go into the house together with daddy. I help daddy to set up the candle and the cakes. Once everything is done, i bring mummy and mei mei into the house.

We sang Happy Birthday song for mummy and the most exciting part is, candle blowing!! Me and mei mei get to blow the small candle on the cake while mummy get to blow the aroma candle, LOL! So 3 of us get to blow the candles.After that, it's another exciting event. Daddy got us the party popper. Daddy is giving us playing instruction. See, both of us pay our 101% attention to daddy.However, we still dare not take the risk, daddy still holding our hand while we play the party popper.Last but not least..i am the most happy person on the day! I get to eat the cake, and it's so yummy!! I love it so much. As for mei mei, she walked around with the deco balloon on the cake.

Happy Mother's Day

I received Mother's day card from both my sweetie pies when i picked them up today. It's an early Mother's Day card. Both of their teachers asked the kids to give the card to me personally and at the same time give me a BIG KOALA BEAR HUG :) Thanks sweeties for the hand made card.

Party time again

Earlier, the Party suppose to be on 20th Mar, but later on, the party being reschduled to 27th Mar. Phew, at least we can have some room for breathing. Why? 20th Mar, daddy back from China, and at the same time, we have 2 parties invitation, Evan's birthday party and teacher Kioh's farewell party. Our initial plan is, pick up daddy from airport then drop by teacher Kioh's house for a while, then go to Evan's party. However, few days before Evan's party, aunty Angeline send out an email informing us the party will be change to 27th Mar. Yippie, means it's not so rush for us.

Evan's party theme is Mickey and mummy was searching high and low for mickey attire for both of you. What a careless mummy. both of you actually has quite lots of mickey shirts, but mummy was scratching my head when aunty Angeline told me the theme. Until....when i checked the closet and found out that both of you do have mickey attire, but i don't have! another headache. But...aunty Angeline is kind enough to get one for me. (oops.....i still yet to pay her money for the shirt).

We arrived at the party around 715pm, thought we are late, but nope, we are early though. As soon as we stepped into the house, this caught your attention. Before you get too excited with the game, we took one family photo. You started to play with Evan and surprise me that two of you just seems like long lost friend, kinda of in sync with the game. As for the adult, we started to fill up our stomach and uncle Ben is the chef of the day.

After playing with the train set for a while, both kids decided to get wild. Both of them get on to the ride on and chase after each other in the house. Mummy requested aunty Angeline re-arrange one of the vase as i afraid you may hit on it while playing. As for Kaitlyn, she's so busy walking around and thank goodness, all the big brothers and big sisters do not accidentally hit on her shile playing. Poor daddy need to keep an eyes on Kaitlyn as this little girl very cheeky, she will climb up the couch, walk here and there, run here and there. And what's mummy doing?? Mummy busy eating! LOL!

And finally, it's cake cutting time. Everyone gathered at the coffee table and "wowwww" on the cake. The design of the cake is very impressive. By the time we sing birthday song and enjoy the cake, it's almost 10pm. Both of you seems a bit tired, but yet still very active. After cake, it's not bye bye time yet. We have ice cream potong and coconut jelly as dessert. As for kids, each of you get one small milo ice cream.

We leave the party close to 11pm. Both of you leave the party with a party bag and balloons. Thanks aunty Angeline and Uncle Ben for the invitation and lastly, Happy Birthday, Evan !

Dinner by the beach

Today we had family dinner at Hou You seafood restaurant at Teluk Kumbar. We were late and when we reached the restaurant, everyone half way eating their dinner.

We ordered few types of seafood and i brought porridge for both kids as afraid they may not have anything to eat. But my thoughtful cousins actually ordered steam fish for the kids, and the kids had some then headed to the beach. For me, i sit there and enjoy my meals while the rest of the family members busy taking pics by the beach.

By the time i finish my meal and headed to the beach to join the rest, it's sunset time. The sunset scenary very nice and we managed to take some pics.

CNY eve

This is first time I am exposing the kids to firecrackers and “pop pop” during CNY. We never thought of getting the kids all these thing until Angeline told me she’s looking for pop pop for Evan. I saw a stall selling all these CNY firecrackers nearby my house and I offered to get her some since she has hard time finding it. At the same time, I decided to get some for Kelvin and Kaitlyn.

On CNY eve, after reunion dinner, we rest for a while then went to the backyard and play with the kids. 2 of them a bit scared when we introduced pop pop to them. And they even more scared when we introduced fire crackers to them, LOL! But I keep asking them to hold on the firecrackers and have a feel of holding it, ** I am so bad huh** and after a while, since we see the 2 kids don’t seems enjoy the fire crackers, so we decided to circle the plants and light up the fire crackers.

Both kids enjoy playing the "pop pop" and they even try to step on it instead of throwing it on the floor. We have lots of fun and i enjoy seeing them playing and experiencing CNY atmosphere. This is what i usually will do when i was small, playing with cousins during CNY eve and stay late as old wives tales said, by doing so, your parents will have longevity life.

Christmas Party 2009

Today the kids’ school has Xmas party. Kaitlyn suppose to take her evening nap, but we don’t want her to being left out from attending the party, so we take the risk of bringing her along and I keep my fingers crossed that she will not make noise and hope we can stay til the end of the party…..and everything turn out to be perfect!

We reached the party around 7:10pm,and there isn’t many ppl, even though the party suppose to start by 7pm. This is typical Malaysian style, when we say party start at 7pm, people will only arrive 30 mins later. Well, last year, we reached the school before 7pm and we are the first one arrived there, so this yr, we a bit late. Kelvin start to wondering around to look for his friend, but no luck. None of his friends arrived yet. I passed the jelly and the present that we brought along for gift exchange to teachers and by the way, it’s a potluck Xmas party, so each family will bring some food. And together with the jelly, I passed Kaitlyn to teacher Margaret. Oops….did I mention that I passed my little princess to someone else LOL! She happily let teacher Margaret carry her and I get to get myself freshen up a bit before the party. I walked around with Kelvin, accompany him to play slide and after a while when I wanted to look for my little princess, she’s with Ms Goh. She’s so adorable and anyone who see her also want to carry her…(oh..this mummy so thick face!) Soon, more and more people coming in, so I gotta keep my eyes close to Kelvin afraid he may out of my sight.

Around 745pm, party start with eating party! So hub get us some food and I brought along Kaitlyn’s milk but this little girl, she refuse to take her milk, instead she wants to eat the food that we are having. So I gave her some bread and she enjoy the plain bread very much. Kid..kid..kid, so easy to feel happy! Around 8pm, the real party start with performance. While the 6 yrs old dancing, Kaitlyn also want to join them. But I told her to finish up her milk before she can join them, and while drinking her milk, she looks at the dancing. And where is Kelvin. Oh…..one of his friend’s parents help us to look after him as he was busy playing with the other friend, Shaneeka. But well, if you think that me and hub taking care of Kaitlyn is easy task, then u r wrong! This little girl of mine, as soon as she finished her milk, she insisted me to let he get down and when I asked whether she want to go dance, she nodded her head and before I can say anything, she walked towards the elder kids.

And I have to keep squatting beside her, cannot stand up, else later I blocked others although I am not very tall , everyone sitting on the chair ! Kelvin also joining the elder kids and he basically mess up the show as he created his own dance, **slapped forehead**

Between the dance performance, there is some games and our family being “invited” to one of the game. Why? Because Kelvin was holding balloon during the musical balloon game and hub get invited to the “punishment” session, so he gets to dance with Kelvin with others families. For this yr, our little boy want to participate in almost all games, and the next game that Kelvin make hub participate is the action game. (When music start every dance, and once music stop, need to stay in whatever position that you are in.)
And I tell you what…Kelvin is the first one get disqualified from the game, why? Coz when the music stop, he managed to hold on with his action, but he can’t stop himself from laughing, LOL! But he can still participate in the entire game and how the judge who get disaualified? Those who get disqualified will get a pencil…so at the end of the game, the judge will ask the kids to show their pencil, this is actually a trick..which means, the kids without pencil are winner…and u know what, as soon as Kelvin and other kids sees the judge giving different present to those kids without pencil, they keep chasing the judge and Kelvin even tells the judge “hey, I got pencil, where is my present” we all really had good laugh at those kids reaction.

And what is Kaitlyn doing ? she’s busy dancing when the music start and no fuss from her at all. I bet she’s gonna be party kaki next time! After long waiting, finally it’s Kelvin’s performance time. I didn’t know what he’s performing. But this little boy just go and disturb people, he dance half way and again created their own dance with his friends. LOL! Finally, it’s Xmas song time! Kelvin get to grab the mic and sing few sentences from few xmas song. To my surprise, he knows those song better than I do!

Same as last yr, we will have a short walk with Santa along the street. Kelvin so excited and so does Kaitlyn. I carried her and she keep pointing at Santa, directing me to chase after Santa for her. And lastly, it’s gift exchange time and each kids line up to collect their present from teacher. The door is so small and it’s so crowded with people getting in and out to the living room. It’s something like mega sales scenario, LOL!

Last yr,Kelvin got a stationary set and this yr, he got a small phone and meanwhile Kaitlyn got a plastic flipped book. Kinda suitable for both of them. But frankly, I will never thought of getting such a toy phone for Kelvin, coz it looks a bit “odd” to me. But he’s so excited with the phone. Kid is kid, can get happy over a small toy. This really make me think, why do we as parents crack our head to think whether should we get them Fisher Price or v Tech toy….u see, a simple toy can make their day, some more they will just go crazy with the toy for few days, so what for spending so much to get them expensive toy and few days later, the toy will be sitting in store room.
